Whose Approval Do You Seek: God’s or Men’s?

It is sad to see what men as well as believers go through in life just to obtain the approval of their fellow men. It is strange that believers are more worried about what people think about them than what God think about them. This is the reason why one can hardly tell the difference between many believers and the unbelievers. This is also the reason for lukewarmness of many believers, they are neither hot nor cold, neither here nor there. ”Club goers on Saturday night and praise worshiping on Sunday morning”.

They do not want men to see them as sold out Christians, they do not want their friends to ridicule them and ask them if their own Christianity is different or if they are the only Christian in the world.

But the Bible warned us against eyeservice and being men pleasers in Ephesians 6:6 Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; 6:7 With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men: 6:8 Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man doeth, the same shall he receive of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.

It a serious matter that believers have allowed the world to teach them how to dress, talk, dance, work and so on and so forth just because of men’s approval.

It is time you took your stand, if you are for God, declare yourself for God, and if you are for the world, go ahead and take your stand, but remember that all our works will be tried by fire; all our actions will be judged by Jesus Christ. If you deny him here on earth, he will deny you before God his Father and His angels, but if you declared his word without hypocrisy, he will welcome you with open arms and crown you with the crown of glory.
